FACE2FACE Consultation App

The Challenge
Allergan, the world leader in medical aesthetics, wanted to provide a digital tool to practicing physicians that would aid in patient consultations, help drive patient conversions, and build physician loyalty with the brand. Existing tools consisted of paper consultation sheets with a generic facial outline that physicians used to indicate treatment areas and written notes for the patient.

The Solution
The Face-to-Face consultation iPad application was designed by analyzing the paper consultation sheets used by practitioners. Our goal was to create an enhanced digital version of the consultation sheet that would leverage the native abilities of the iPad to further empower the physician – while facilitating their consultation process. We wanted the application to work as simply as the sheet of paper physicians were accustomed to using, while giving them the ability to take and use actual patient photos to create shareable treatment plans. 

The application takes advantage of the iPad’s camera functionality, keyboard, surface for drawing naturally with finger or stylus, and the ability to easily send  and share. The application adds these tools to the physician’s arsenal without disrupting his or her existing consultation process. 

As a result of the Face-to-Face app, consultations are now much more collaborative and visual experiences where users can see proposed treatments in the context of their own face. The enhanced visualization provided has increased patient conversions and delighted physicians – increasing brand satisfaction and loyalty.
